HVWG Grant Application Guidelines

HVWG Mission: The Hudson Valley Writers Guild (HVWG) fosters an active community of writers and readers by encouraging the development of local authors and providing opportunities for them to share their talents with local audiences.

Applications for grants are accepted continuously and will be reviewed by the grant committee before presentation to our Board. At least one month prior to the event is appreciated. The proposal must be consistent with our mission. ** Grants that represent initiatives affecting the most significant number of individuals will be given priority.

Previous funding has been given to programs such as the Yes! Reading Series, to AlbanyPoets to support the Slam Team & the journal Up The River, to the reading series at the Pine Hollow Arboretum, & to support last Fall’s Tean Reader Con.

All grants are subject to availability of HVWG funds.

When the Grant is awarded you will be asked to acknowledge the support of the Hudson Valley Writers Guild in your publicity and at the event.  You will also be asked to submit an evaluation form one month after the completion of the event.
